Sorry to report no photos, this week I started with a rough sort of a collection that just came in. That was really interesting it was from a teacher and mostly it was old slides. That was so neat to look through them and see what is relevant for the arcive and figure out what the pictures were. I created a list of all the items in the box and made a preliminary decision on which slides were more pertinent to the collection. So that was really fun and interesting. Then today we started planning out the exhibit that will be put up for Archives Month, which is going to be on why Kingsport has the nickname the model city, show maps and a timeline of how the town came about. It will also have basic info on how to use the archives and collections. We also planned out fliers and posters for the annual Friends of the Archives. All in all quite productive and neat :)
