Day 8

Hi all! This week unfortunately my supervisor has been really sick so we spent it brainstorming outreach ideas. Definitely not a bad thing. I fould out not only is next month American Archives Month but it is also Tennessee Archives Month AND Family History Month! Seeing as thats a lot all at once we've thought it best if we combine them in different ways. I came up with an idea, since American Archives Month's theme is collaboration, to work with local businesses and maybe do an exhibition of how the buildings have changed over time. We both were excited for the idea for christmas, we are looking into finding an empty building downtown and setting up a Christmas of Kingsport past exhibit in the shop window. We have an old santa suit in the collection and all sorts of pictures. There were a few more ideas, like doing a ghost stories exhibit of some sort, but everything is still just in idea mode. It is super fun and exciting talking about all these things we could do. :D I can't wait to start working on them! Adventure is out there!!
