Tiffany Riggins

This course is a survey of children's literature, traditional and modern, and other related materials for use by and with children from birth to grade 6.

 

There were two big assignments in this course. One was an online annotated booklist and the other was to create a book talk video. The assignment details for the annotated booklist was to find and  annotate books, articles, media, and websites on a particular topic related to children. This assignment allowed me to further hone my research skills and be able to succinctly explain the results.

The second assignment included is a video of myself giving a book talk on three books with one central theme. I chose fractured fairy tales because I find these stories familiar but fun. This assignment gave me real experience on how to give a book talk as well as how to make a good informational video.
